As Paul’s trial begins, he declares he has lived in good conscience before God. The high priest gives orders to smite him because Paul’s past was horrible. He didn’t understand that Paul had been forgiven of all sin when he was saved.

When God saves us, our past is forgiven. We are given a clean slate and our future is changed because He has come into our life and we are to be of good cheer. We should fully trust in God to always provide a way to supply our needs. All we need to do, is listen and obey.
