Law or Grace

In Acts 15 the church faces a major point of contention. Pharisees from Judea come preaching that in order for a man to be saved he must be circumcised and obey the Law of Moses. When tension over this topic reaches a boiling point God reveals to Paul that they should go up to Jerusalem and discuss this matter with the disciples. After much debating the council in Jerusalem determines that it is faith in Christ only that brings salvation.

Today circumcision for salvation may not be an issue. There are many however that try to add something to faith. For someone to preach that a man or woman must do something other than place their faith in Christ is to preach that what Christ did on Calvary was not enough.

In this sermon we ask the question is it “Law or Grace” that brings salvation.
