In this Sunday morning sermon, Pastor Joshua Sharp brings us to the book of Luke, and a parable about two children and a father. One child chose to stray from the father, and soon learned the value of the unconditional love felt while he was in his father’s house. The other child had strayed from the father long before his brother had, even though he had never left his father’s side.
The story of the prodigal son is not only a story of a sinner who repents and returns to the Father, but of a sinner who strays from the Father while doing service in His house. Both stories are important and relevant to us as Christians. We are all sinners, and should always seek repentance for our sins, but we should also be certain that we do not let our hearts and minds stray from the Father while we do service in His house.
