There is power in the name of Jesus Christ! In Acts 3 a lame man is healed by the power in the name of Christ. Now in this chapter Peter and John face persecution for the miracle and their message. The Sadducees did not believe in the resurrection of the dead. Therefore they did not like that Peter was preaching that Jesus was alive. In an effort to stop the message of the resurrected Christ they imprison Peter and John as well as command them not to preach in His name.
