The Right And Wrong Way To View Finances

This sermon in the series, “Practical Teachings For Pure Living,” focuses on the financial preaching done by Jesus during the sermon on the mount. Jesus teaches us that it is dangerous to be materialistically motivated and the downfalls that follow that choice.

We cannot serve two masters. As Christians, if we are a slave to material things, God cannot be our master. A materialistic view of the world traps your heart and then enslaves your mind. You become full of worry, and begin to lose sight of who really matters. Thankfully Jesus reminds us that we have a heavenly Father who knows our needs, and is never lacking in substance when it comes to providing for His children! Even the lilies of the valley, and the tiniest of birds are fed by His hands. When we put God first, we don’t have to worry about everything else.
