Some Things I Just Can’t Explain

In Matthew, Jesus has just come down from the mountain, and there in His path is a leper. The man asks Jesus to heal him, and He does. Afterwards, Jesus tells the man not to tell anyone. One of the many reasons why Jesus told the man not to tell anyone, was because his healing was something that words could not explain. It had to be felt to be understood.

Just like the healing of the leper, there are many things that we as Christians can feel, that we may not be able to ever express. The power of salvation is one of our first experiences with this. That moment that you have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ, is beyond explanation. Then afterwards, to know you have a home in heaven, and that your name is written in the book of life, is a feeling beyond compare. Then, there is the presence of the spirit. No words can describe the feeling of an encounter with the Holy Spirit. Without the Spirit, we become spiritually blind and fall further away from God. Last, we are given peace in times of suffering. During some of our hardest times, God does not forsake us, and if we will only call on Him, He will supply us with peace during our toughest storms.
