In 1 Corinthians, Paul illustrates the way the church and its members are to function. As a church, we are to work together for the cause of Christ.
We have to understand that each member of the church has been given special gifts and abilities to be used for the benefit of the entire body of Christ. God also desires that His children get along with each other. The outside world is watching, and we are to be a source of unity, not division. We should be willing to set aside our preferences, as we are servants in God’s house. As caring Christians, we should also be in prayer for those in leadership, as they need strength to lead our church in the right direction. Most importantly, we must remember that as a church, when one member is stumbling, we are all stumbling. However, if all members are correctly working together, the whole body rejoices.
