John speaks to the church, saying that fellowship with God is possible through Jesus Christ. John also states that God is light, and has no darkness at all.

During our walk with God, it is important that we make the conscious decision every day to walk in the light. Fellowship with God cannot be hidden in the darkness, just as we cannot hide our sin from Him. He is the light that gives eternal life, and He will illuminate our sins, not because He doesn’t love us, but because He wants us to better ourselves for Him.
