This sermon in the series, “Choices,” focuses on the love story between Ruth and Boaz. In this chapter, Ruth goes to Boaz while he sleeps. She uncovers his feet, and after he asks, she lays at his feet all night.

Ruth chose to submit herself to Boaz by laying at his feet all night. Ruth shows us that a Christian woman is  to submit to her husband, not because she is inferior to him or less valuable, but because God has told women to submit to their husbands as they would to Him. Ruth shows her love through the respect for Boaz’s wish, while she lays there that night. Just as we are to respect God, Christian women are to respect their husbands by responding to them both physically and spiritually.
