In Ezekiel 16 the prophet describes for us the history of the nation of Israel using some of the most vivid language in the Bible. When God found them they were like an abandoned newborn baby. God tells them that they were unloved, uncared for, and left to die. In love and pity God spoke to them in their miserable condition and told them to “Live”.

In this sermon we learn that as sinners we are a lot like Israel. Just like the nation of Israel each of us are in the miserable condition of sin. We are unloved, uncared for, and doomed to die. In love and compassion God comes by where we are and speaks to our soul “Live”.
