In Malachi, Israel as a nation is being told by God that they are loved, only to reply with an immature and unthankful tone. Throughout the text, they continue to mock God’s love and forgiveness of their sinful ways.
As a generation, we see this very same issue in our nation today. Instead of thanking God for the many blessings that He pours out on us daily, we complain about what we don’t have. We see others with new, exciting things, and we ask God why we can’t have the same. As Christians, we should always be thankful for the things God gives us. Without His blessings in our lives, we struggle and cannot carry on. God protects and provides for us daily, and we should thank Him for it daily.
