In this Sunday night sermon, we are brought to the book of Malachi, where God is making it clear that He is upset and disgusted with His people. From offering sick animals, to justifying their sins, His people had become hard of heart and fallen far from God.
This is a picture of the lukewarm church of today. How could God’s people turn from Him? It all begins with trying to bury our sins. We often forget that when we try to hide our sins, we are trying to hide them from a God who sees everything. From there, we begin to blame our sins on someone else. This carries on and on until we reach the point that we are burdened by the very thought of going to church. In order to avoid this, we need to make sure that we are always giving God our very best, and that we never let sin come between us and God.
