The Testimony Of A Tombstone

This Sunday morning service brings us to a walk through an imaginary graveyard filled with the saints of yesterday. As we visit each different tombstone and memorial, we are reminded of the qualities that each of these saints had and how they were viewed in their lives by God.

Abraham was viewed as a friend to God, as he shared a common burden, the loss of a son. Daniel was beloved by God, because of his faithfulness in prayer. All of these qualities and many more that belong to those who have graced the pages of our bible have brought honor to God, and stood out to Him because of their qualities. Today we often forget that we too can share these qualities if we truly care to completely give ourselves to God. These men were viewed as different in God’s eyes because they lived for their relationship with Him. They devoted themselves to His cause. As Christians, we should all desire to have a relationship with God that goes far beyond just for our own salvation. We should be willing to serve and worship God because He is worthy of our praise and dedication every day.
