The Greatness of Group Prayer

In this sermon, Solomon explains to us that two are better than one when walking the path God has chosen for us. Specifically, in prayer, two who are gathered may call upon the Lord with greater power than those who pray alone and in secret.

When the church prays together, it promotes unity. Group prayer is unselfish, and puts people on good terms with one another. Also, when the church prays together, the problems are better understood. By sharing with your brother and sister’s in Christ, you are helping to share their burden. Group prayer also unleashes power. When Peter was in prison, it was a group prayer that delivered him safely out. Through prayer, we can unite as a body, understood each other’s burdens, and unleash the power needed to lift our brother’s and sister’s in Christ.
