Paul’s Point Of No Return

During Paul’s wrongful imprisonment, Festus interrogates Paul, asking him if he would rather be transferred to Jerusalem, where he may be judged by the Jews, who were plotting an attack along the way to murder Paul. Paul replies that he will appeal to Ceasar, completing the providence he has with God to travel to Rome.

The Jews had fallen prey to hate. Their dislike of Paul’s message soon lead to them wanting to kill the messenger instead, because they let their hatred fester and consume them. Paul trusted in God to uphold His promise to bring Paul to Rome. Paul’s faith in God brought him the one thing he truly wanted, to travel to Rome and give his testimony.
