A Lost Man’s Cry and the Lord’s Compassion

This morning we look at a familiar passage of scripture. In the first three verses of Psalms 40 David paints a picture of a man in a hopeless condition. He is in a pit that he cannot get himself out of. In desperation this man cries out to God, the Lord hears him, and rescues him.

In this sermons the pastor uses this story as an illustration of a person who is lost in sin. They are struggling in the pit of sin with no hope of escape. Then in desperation they cry out to God and He brings them salvation.
